What? Me? A pathetic fangirl? I think you must have mistaken me for someone else.

...

*weeps* How has 嵐 *done* this to me??

*coughs to try and regain dignity*

Actually, also, I had a MOMENT OF HORROR where I realized I can name all of NewS. Well, except YamaPi (The irony), but that's okay because I can use process of elimination. WHY, OH WHY??

Also in news of despair, last week was SO INCREDIBLY HORRIBLE, OH MY GOSH. When Friday came? I went to sleep after class at 2PM, setting an alarm for dinner which I slept through for 50 minutes. After turning it off, I proceeded to sleep until 2AM, at which point I got up to eat something. I began falling asleep at my keyboard and was forced back to sleep at 4. I slept until 12.

For those not keeping score at home, that's 12 + 8 = 20 hours.

I feel like this trend towards mandatory undergraduate work is just going to kill about half our young people. The new natural selection? Maybe.

Ahahaha, I had forgotten: I make icons! Silly me.

January and February )

So, for people who don't *care* about icons:

I sucessfully made it back to Williamsburg, though I am not looking forward to class tomorrow. ...Nor the exam and the paper later this week.

On the plus side, I *did* manage to lure [livejournal.com profile] lillianloop into 嵐 completely unintentionally. It was an amazing sucess! You know how it goes.
"Look at this guy being crazy as he imitates an owl" -> "Look at him and the rest of his band competing to be housekeeping king" -> "THEY DO NUNCHUCKS."

The nunchucks will get you EVERY TIME.

Although...
[On the phone]
Her: *in the wiki* Looking at this list, a large portion of your activities I had written off as being normal are actually related to 嵐, aren't they?
Me: Hahaha, you're cute when you're clueless.

So, now she has all their PVs (including my guide) and albums. I haven't heard her thoughts on them yet, but.

In conclusion, I am glad to have someone to gush with. (^^)v

-----

It occurs to me I have slipped back into the habit of not commenting on anything. And I was doing so *well* there for a while! Alas. Please forgive my neglegence, f-list.

-----

I finally saw the episode where Picard is like, "THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS." ...And then we started watching First Contact. I <3 China (^^)v

One Pound Gospel wherever I was-Final )

I'm thinking of changing my 嵐 tag to "for dream" so I don't have to switch into j-text all the time, but I feel that's... kind of lame. I'll keep thinking on it.

So, I'm posting a comment in this journal, and I scroll up to look at the entry, then back down again quickly. At the top of the comment it says Comment Form. ...Stop me if you know where this is going. Initial thought, "Is that a form of Den-O?" YEAH, YOU THOUGHT IT TOO, DON'T LIE. I AM NOT A SAD, SAD PERSON WITH NO LIFE.

Anyway, Christmas in three scenes:

Brother: I wonder if I have a shirt to go over this...
Me: ...Don't you mean under?
Brother: No! Don't you know anything about fashion?
Me: Unless it's on a Japanese boy band or a woman, nope, sorry.
Brother: They have good fashion sense. I'd like to dress like them.
Me: ME TOO!!
*****
[Easy Cheese in my stocking]
Me: [Internally] WIN!
Brother: EASY CHEESE!!!!!!
Mother: I'm glad someone liked it.
Me: I do!
Mother: I thought to myself, if I put this in my daughter's stocking, it will end up on her LiveJournal. It's notable.
Me: It will.
*****
Dad: Did you put make-up on?
Me: ...Yes?
Dad: Good!
Me: ...?? (Note: I've been wearing make-up on occasion for at least four years, including everyday I've gone to work.)
Dad: It's part of being a young woman.
Me: How about it's something I can do or not do as a choose.
[later]
Mother: You are so lucky I didn't die when you were like 10 and had only him to guide you.

Other than that: My video card is dying, and it makes me upset. Also, I received MANY books for Christmas AND The Search for Spock.

Let me tell you something about The Search for Spock: The guy who plays the first officer of the Excelsior? ALSO PLAYED SHAN-YU! FINALLY, MY BELOVED STAR TREK AND MY BELOVED MULAN HAVE COMBINED!!

But today I am back at work. Blergh, and yet not. I got quite a bit done, but the problem with that is that now i have to do this DOCUMENT. I HATE DOCUMENTS.

...Also I think Matt (was he otherboyintern or otherotherboyintern? The one I like as opposed to the creepy ones) is making fun of my made up organizations >| Just a misunderstanding; they were actually making him laugh.

Anyway, coming back to work now as oppose to January is good because I only have to work two days this week and four the next. Only one full week of work this time! WIN!

Also, SEE THAT TITLE? JTEXT AT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, OMGEEZ, did anyone watch Jeopardy! last night??? The categories: "We are Young" "Heartache to Heartache" "We Stand" "No Promises, No Demands" "'Love' is a Battlefield" "Yeah, it was the 80's"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I came in between "heartache" and "we stand", and I started laughing into the couch (I was on my stomach), and my dad was like "...???", and my mom was like "You are dumb. These are the lyrics to 'Love is a Battlefield'." And, of course, the question to the first answer was "Who is Pat Benetar?" XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD

Also, my parents don't know who Alton Brown is. It's like Jack Davenport ALL OVER AGAIN. Luckily, I'm sure Rachel has an Alton Brown poster I can borrow :P

Sushi from Safeway? No, no, I think not.

Also? Disturbing.

This is getting kind of long to have no cut, so I'd either better start talking about fandom things or just post it...

Um, so, I did a [livejournal.com profile] 10variations, but I can't post it in the comm yet, and I want something with a time stamp. I *was* going to do the bimonthly icon post early, but Week 12's results aren't out, and I ended up being really bored and making icons for Week 13 too... Anyway:

CLAMS!!!! CLAMS FOR DINNER!!

Only one final left. And four days before it! GAH.

Sarah and I decided on our J-House Activity. I think it's BRILLIANT. And educational (something new, I assure you). AND utilizes our strengths as internet scavengers and people who become strangely obsessed with people for no apparent reason! (←This one's actually just me...) Right now it's a secret, and I can't tell you because one of the people in the house reads my f-list. ALAS! But, seriously. SO EXCITED.

So, I got caught up on Stargate... )

Aside: Relating to Stargate, I was playing FFII, and in it there are monsters called Wraith that heal themselves when they cause damage to you, and I was like, "!!!" because, well, you know.

And, because I can never just, you know, stop: Nodame Cantable )

But the best part of Nodame? When, in the finale, I just realized I'd played Beethoven's 7th before, even though they'd been playing the song for the *entire series*. (^^;;;;;;;;;;) In my defense, the timpani parts *do* all sound the same. Saa, Timpani. But this particular song has a BLEE-BADADUM at the end which I remember. Mostly because dampening is hard...

Stand Up!! )

I've also got Bambino!, Kiken na Aneki, and the two Pika☆Nichis in the works, so.
(No, those don't all have a connection to Arashi. Just three of them. I CAN STOP WHENEVER I WANT.)

And now, all aboard the WTF train!! Den-O 45 )

So, time to get around to writing some of that stuff I promised a while back, huh? This one took me a long time because I couldn't decide whether to go forwards of back. Well, now you get both. The style is... different from the original, I think, but then, the POV is different, and it's been over a year since I wrote "Someone." That was actually, what? My fourth or fifth fanfiction? So. Without further ado.

So, US News and World Report has apparently ranked my old high school as the best in the country, which... doesn't really surprise me. But you know what? MICROBIAL FUEL CELLS!!!!! THEY DON'T DIE!!! To my US peeps: Happy Turkey Day!
Everyone else: Happy Thursday!

I, personally, am a big fan of today because, you know, NO CLASS. Of course, the JLPT IS IN A WEEK HORROR HORROR DEATH, and I have to do my Christmas shopping, and I have several paper/test type entities to be thinking about, but right this second I'm just going to pretend like all I have to do today is eat turkey.

Accidentally on purpose came out to my mother. She's the first person I've actually told in person, so that was an interesting experience. She was like, "don't not tell me things because you think I won't react well." And I was like, "I'm not! Oh, no, wait, I am." CURSE MY HONESTY. Anyway, my mother is convinced there is a Cause like Hormones or perhaps my Thyroid. Failing that, it is *obviously* because she told me to focus on my schoolwork for the time being and there would be plenty of time for relationships later when I was in *eighth grade* in a conversation I *don't remember*. Oh, yeah. Her last theory is that my tendency towards paralyzing indecision has caused me to choose not to choose, as it were. Except I didn't have to choose not to choose, so why make a choice at all if it was my indecision? Anyway, I think she believes me in as much as she believes *I* believe it, and is willing to entertain the possibility, so I count it as a win. Of course, she was also like, "good luck explaining this to your father." Yeah, thanks for the support, Mom.

I also saw a broken road sign that reminded me of a Torii, and I think a tanka is hiding in there somewhere, I just have to find it.

Even though this is apparently old internet news, Rice game! Build vocabulary! Donate rice!

Top 60 Japanese Buzzwords of 2007. It is hilarious/horrifying how many of those have to do with the mess-ups of the Abe cabinet(s).

I still love Transformers wiki.

In closing: Arashi has a song called "Raise Your Hands" and a song called 「テ・アゲロ」. They are different songs.

So, I had half of this well-thought-out essay on Yuuto and the ethics of time travel and whatever, but... I never finish things*

*Untruth

So, maybe I'll do it later? People pestering me would be appreciated. But, I had things I want to post for IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION. Which is TOTALLY how I work.

Speaking of how people work, I've loved this website for a while now, but now it has an LJ archive: [livejournal.com profile] ennatrek_lj. It's the ennagram personality ma-bobs with essays about fictional characters displaying them. Primarily Star Trek, but also HP and Heroes and Smallville and... maybe something else? Anyway, I like them, so.

(The reason why I thought of that is because the paragraph before last showcases mightily my degenerate connection to 7 as a 5. HAHAHA science. ...Or something.)

Anyway, I had a test that went... poorly, so I could use some adoring comments from the masses. And the best way to get them?

MY BAD ART!! )

In related(?) news, I think someone need to inform this particular autobot what "in disguise" MEANS. This is a real car. )

Dear Bridge,

<3

Me

(For sense: Timestamp 5:50)

Anyway, from [livejournal.com profile] itsbuttery:

Choose three completed stories you've done, and list at least one thing about each you wish you would've done differently when you wrote it.

You assume I don't blast all fics I dislike into digital oblivion. )

And from [livejournal.com profile] mariko_azrael:

When you see this, post a little weensy excerpt from as many random works-in-progress as you can find lying around. Who knows? Maybe inspiration will burst forth and do something, um, inspiration-y.

Oh, my WiPs. The horror. 5 under the cut. )

So, you see, I did *try* to do the Prompt-a-thon, it just... didn't get finished. Or started, really. I have this problem with being unable to decide endings. This is most notable in the one with Sakura's son. I could *not* decide who was dead, and who the father of that child was. Which is why it has been neglected for nearly a year. So.

Oh, and if anyone wants me to do that other meme, leave me a list of 12 characters in the comments. I just wasn't getting anywhere.

Anyway, things that are really awesome:
The Digimon 10th Anniversary CD. You can d/l it over at [livejournal.com profile] digimon if you want. I like it because of all the uplifting songs. I mean, of course they are. But. Lines like, "Because flowers will always, always bloom," and stuff. They are the stuff of Japanese idealism love. Also, Try Again sounds like a song from StrongBad's e-mails.

Chou Ninja Tai Inazuma Spark!. I NEARLY DIED. NO SERIOUSLY. Especially at the spoken "Judgement time chick chick chick chick chick Delete Approval!" I AM DOING THAT FROM NOW ON.

Flash: Blood Will Run. I would write an actual review, but basically it comes down to my undying love for Wally even when he's a jerk. So.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Yes, well, it was what I expected at least. I can't believe they didn't help Dean Thomas, though. Anyway, I would have Deep Thoughts, but I am just Too Lazy.

KataKoi 2-4. You may recall me telling you not to watch anymore, but that doesn't mean I stopped. Besides, I still like Nagai Masaru. Anyway, I'm learning a lot of new vocabulary like "cheating." And how to threaten someone for bashing the JSDF if you are a flamboyant gay man. Also, there is random 80's music.

HanaKimi 5. Have I mentioned my deep, undying love for Mizushima Hiro lately? Because I do. Have deep, undying love. Anyway, the little old lady was awesome. And, um, Mrs. Namba. And their giant light up sign. Also, I have now figured out how everyone was seeing it before me (veoh, while I was actually d/ling it), so I can watch it early too. HA!

This Post. No, seriously, GO READ IT NOW.

Okay, that's my list for now. I leave you with the goings-on of my family:

[Talking about hypothetical grandchildren]
Mom: I will be no one's "Grandma." They'll call me "Nana."
Me: ...how about "Swinging Matriarch Tammmy"?

[My dad doesn't want any apple pie]
Me: You're un-American! We should have you hauled up in front of the HUAC, you Communist!
Dad: I'm sure my 27 years of military service won't count.
Me: Doesn't matter! The only way you can get out of it is to rat out your communist friends!
Dad: Anyway, the Communists aren't the enemy anymore, it's the terrorists.
Me: Ah, but what about the Communist Terrorists?
capncosmo: Clueless (Default)
I FINISHED MY PHONE CALLS!!!! 1,000 CALLS ARE DONE!!!! Yes, I'm awesome, I know. I don't know what my total calls somes to, but I think it's something like 1,500 so far. Man, I hate phone calls. I'm going to make some for Angela, though, because her father had a heart attack and she's been out.

So, I read this meta yesterday on the slashing of best friend pairs, and I was just going to leave a comment, but I actually have something to say about it, so.

Friendship is Valid Too! )

Or, if this is tl;dr, just go listen to "Guy Love."

On a semi-related note: I finally got around to rewatching the end of Bouken, and I must have been tripping or something. real!Mr. Voice is a *lot* younger than I remember. So, yeah, hearby retracting my suggestion someone should write her with Souta.

-----------

So, I got tagged to do this meme.... )

Well, today being Thursday, I am finally allowed to break my spoiler embargo. I'm not actually writing my thoughts, but this is still something you'd need to have read the book for. Unsurprisingly, I am APALLED at fandom. )

Well, I'm still bored. So let's try another meme: Title Examination Meme )

Follow up to Monday's Meta )

And now I will end this symmetric entry with:

Yesterday I played a Guitar Hero clone with me brother, and I have to say the keboard makes a surprisingly good guitar. Or is it a keytar...? So, anyway, I am *very* bad at guitar hero, but the one song I can play well? "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence!!!!!!!! Oh yeah.
capncosmo: Clueless (Default)
So, yeah. Cleaned some stuff. Read that book. Saw Transformers. )

Anyway, who's ready for a fun work story in which I inadvertantly destroy a marriage?

So, you all know I'm making phone calls. I'm in the middle of a list of an even thousand at the moment, and dragging myself into work at o'dark thirty so I can hit as many voicemails as possible and just *get through it* (Which explains my odd LJ posts; I *have* to sleep when I get home, and it is my custom to spend nights reading.) Anyway, we're making sure no one needs help registering for our conference. It's a matchmaking conference for small businesses and larger businesses so the small guys can find a larger company who needs something like they're developing. Anyway, this morning I had this conversation:

Me: *schpeel*
Woman: Well, I can take a message for [guy I was trying to call].
Me: *assumes she is his secretary* *continues schpeel*
Woman: So what is this thing.
Me: Well, it's a matchmaking conference--
Woman: [angrily] This is his wife. I don't think he's interested.
Me: ??? Oh. I'm sorry, I didn't--
Woman: *click*
--Ten Minutes Later--
Me: Oh! She thought--!!

So, yes, I am a HOMEWRECKER. I hope that guy didn't get into trouble...

So, I feel the urge to write meta. On being a writer and how *weird* it is. )
capncosmo: Clueless (Default)
Hallo! I return!

HAPPY JULY BIRTHDAYS!

Well, I *could* talk about Florida, but the fact is: we did nothing. No, really. I did get some sushi out of the deal (a very little bit), but mostly it was just lazing around doing nothing and/or watching Star Trek. Actually, I got to see that episode I first watched a while back and now I can't find the entry, but it was the frist time I ever thought Picard was awesome because there are these aliens who are like, "Stuff stuff we hate you bye." and Picard keeps getting cut off, but then he uses their own treaty to win AND cuts them off AND makes them wait AND wanders over to see if anyone's dusted the bridge while doing it AND IT WAS AWESOME. My uncle is actually just watching Voyager for the first time, so he's all excited about it (I would be too if I hadn't seen the end >|). But, um, mostly we did nothing.

Friday was also mostly nothing, although I did venture to Springfield to get Kate and then discovered she had never seen Toon Titans and promptly made her watch hillarious episodes until her brains fell out. Or, you know. So.

Saturday, though, we adventured to Leesburg to visit the SteinMart. Now, I have been to SteinMart before seeing as there is one in the Food Lion shopping center in the 'Burg, but this time we were actually looking for stuff since EVERYONE MY MOTHER WORKS WITH LOVES STEINMART. We also went to the Dulles Town Center, and I saw a sign that said: "HAMILTON 9" (as in I was 9 miles away from Hamilton, eat your heart out Erin Hayes :P)

(As an aside, what does "eat your heart out" actually mean? I have no idea, so I use it sparingly, yet indiscriminately.)

Actually, I was also forced into going to the optomotrist, but since my eye pains have (mostly) stopped, I was UNAFRAID. Although, her tests kind of confused me. Because she said, "stop me when you can read it." And I foolishly did not think to ask whether she meant when I *can* read it, or when it actually looks like letters and not a series of blobs that I can figure out what they're supposed to be until halfway through the test, and I wasn't going back and doing it again. I could read the tiny line, though so I don't know what problem she could possibly have with me.

Interesting fact: there are 12 flavors of ice cream in my house. Fried Ice Cream, Vanilla, Double Vanilla, Creamy Vanilly, Chocolate Brownie Caramel, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Fudge Tracks, Baby Ruth, Rocky Road, O NO I AM BLANKING HELP ME. Needless to say, it's a lot.

I was recently over in Beth's LJ since IE IS DUMB AND CAN'T FIGURE OUT I'M LOGGED IN TO LJ I had a reply to a comment to reply to, and I toyed with the idea of stealing her tags scheme. It's actually a riddiculously detailed way of doing it, which is of course why I love it. Since I failed at locating that entry today (GOOGLE WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME!?), it occurs to me I should perhaps invest in better tags. What I REALLY want, though, it some way to be like, "Show me everything tagged --- but not ---" or "show me everything tagged ---- and ---" because my tags are arranged in a heirarchical system currently, and sometimes I want to see just the rectangles that aren't squares! ANYWAY. Actually, really, I have decided I have to see Beth more b/c my tag only hits three entries and I <3 Beth and THIS IS A TRAVESTY I AM A FAILURE AT FRIENDS BUT ALSO CATS SO I REALLY WILL DIE ALONE. *cough*

Someone is eating something that smells good. I think I must venture after my own sandwich.

Well, I got on mixi for the first time in months, and what awaited me but news of a Tokyo Bathhouse explosion. Fuki said she walked past the bathhouse on her way to school. Tragic.

In happier thoughts, Ga'arth, the Klingon Fashion Designer!

So, today I found out Amazon.co.jp has stopped offering International Economy shipping. On one hand, this is bad, because International express is more expensive, and shipping is already riddiculous. But on the other hand this is good because a) it will only take 2-5 days, and b) they changed because each package has a tracking number so they can keep better tabs on stuff. Which is, you know, good because who wants the post office to eat their mail?

Also, in case you cared, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers the Movie is on sale for $5 and is part of the 4-for-3 promotion. Just. Sayin'.

So, been reading news of the Beeb. (Is that how you spell it?) Anyway, I found this article which interviewed 3 Chinese teenagers and 2 Japanese teenagers about what they were taught about WWII. For a country who's textbooks are so "wrong," I find it interesting both Japanese students said they thought Japan was the bad guy in the war. And for a country so interested in the "truth," I find it interesting all three Chinese students were fixated on how they were taught Japan was "bad." Of course, here they go making things worse...

YESTERDAY:

Whoa. I just updated the history section of Life's a Show. I haven't done so in, like, a year. Man, note to self, never do *that* again. Anyway, two PMs and two posts later, I emerge victorious to await fleet mission instruction and something brilliantly masterful from Katana. w00t. Now I just have to start writing the beginning to Time is Too Short. Well, and deciding how I want it structured. But.

So, this morning I got up an hour early to get my car inspected, and yet I was late to work. This is not fair. Of course, maybe if I hadn't waited until the end of the month, it wouldn't have been a problem. Oops?

Okay, I have two COMPLETELY ADORABLE things to link you to:

Blue Beetle is awesome. I have NO IDEA who he is, he's still awesome. [Scans, DC]

I want to be Jay Garrick when I grow up, too, Nightwing. [Scans, DC]

No, seriously, Jay [Flash I] is the coolest d00d around. Not even kidding. And I love how the Flashes are all buddy-buddy with their rogues.

TODAY:

Well, my car is registered, my checkbooks balanced, and everyone here apparently has NOTHING THEY NEED DOING. Christine gave me this tiny thing that took me AT MOST half an hour. But that's it. I have also finished reading the Barry Allen tag at [livejournal.com profile] scans_daily which actually has this really interesting reposting of parts of the whole time when Barry was on trial for killing Reverse-Flash (in 11 parts!).

I must have written more than I thought last summer to keep myself amused.

EXCITING!! So, the first time I watched At-Home-Dad, the lifeguard looked really familiar to me, but I couldn't place him. Well, today we were watching it, and he said, "gomen nasai," and it hit me. HE'S TATSUYA. YES, THAT TATSUYA!! It was a moment of great joy, though I could not share it with anyone.

In other news, Rhys Katarn needs to stop hijacking the awesomeness that is Jonas Quinn for his stupid purposes.

Stargate )

Um, I will have Stargate fic recs soon, so. Now, a word from our sponsors:

One Word Meme

You.
Can.
Only.
Type.
One.
Word.

Not as easy as you might think.

Meme )

So, this is weird. I found this meme and did it, right? And then it started popping up on my f-list except with movies. Crazy.

-Go to IMDB.com and look up 10 TV shows you like(d).
-Post three official IMDB "Plot Keywords" for these 10 picks.
-Have your friends guess the show names.

Title: The Thinnest Hint of Peace
Fandom: Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger
Characters: Tomasu "Hoji" Houji, with mentions of Reimon "Jasmine" Marika and Gyoku Ryo
Word Count: 350
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Dekaranger belongs to Toei, so don't look at me.
Spoilers: Wild Heart, Cool Brain
Summary: Not thinking is the only way he can make it past this. It's also impossible. Hoji/Jasmine (kinda)
Author's Notes: This is for [livejournal.com profile] etapa, who is hard at work on her manifesto and needed some more fic. Also, I just like her :P I think maybe it reads a little weirdly, but you can blame that on all the post-apocolyptic SG1 fic I've been reading.

That link dump I promised )

Recently I've been reading a lot of people's back entries for fics, and do you know what I love?

Fic by Month 2006 )

Which brings us to our next meme. The meme sayeth: Post a list of your top five fics favourite you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most.

Answers below! )

I... should study. Bah. My arms are cold.

Bored now.

I know almost all the words to POP STAR. This is slightly disturbing.

I saw a linguistics joke on a bumper sticker (I think)! It said, "I stop for k, g, p, b, n, m" and some other letters too that I can't remember right now BUT.

Apparently my tires are irrepairably damaged, so we're going to replace all four of them tonight, even though only two actually need it. It'd be nice if we coudl just, you know, keep the other two around or something... And I did my sewing while I waited for them to look at my tires and tell me they couldn't fix them, so that's done. I think I'll bring my vest to sew while I wait tonight. I also talked to the other girl that was there.

I started watching my obscene amounts of M*A*S*H last night. Man, I love that show, even its completely incongruous weather. Well, the weather makes sense because they obviously couldn't tell the story of a three year war in eleven, so time was obviously going to be a little screwy.

So, I heard a song on the radio that sounded JUST LIKE the FFIX (I think) boss battle theme! Okay, the melody wasn't exactly the same. But it was set up the same way with the drums like babadababadababadababada and then the synthesizer and then later the base notes and whoa.

Blah blah GCF )

I may be courting disaster with this comment, but: d00ds, the thing I just wrote for work has been soaked in the blood of grammatical heretics red pen. And I wrote it. If I can find that much wrong with my own work, is it any surprise I have a lot of corrections to make when I read other things?

It was requested I repost the movie list I was talking about yesterday, so here it is. Also, something I didn't notice the first time? Samuel L. Jackson: Afro Samurai. Oh, please no.

d00ds!

新年明けましておめでとうございます! ヽ(゚・^*)^☆.。.:*・゚☆祝☆゚・*:.。.☆^(*^・゚)ノ

Also, Happy January Birthdays!

In 2007 I have:
Watched TV Land "Best TV catchphrases."
Picked up my brother from his party.
Found out there was a New Year's Party I probably should have gone to.
Written an LJ entry.
Read fanfic.
Posted my monthly report.
Listened to Hirai Ken.
Watched A Piece of the Action.

Frankly, I think the last one is the awesomest one. Leonard Nimoy + fedora = LOVE.

Also, last things done in 2006:
Listened to rockin' awesome homily in church.
Soothed Kate's woes.
Gone shopping.
Not had too much pride not to change in a corner instead of wait in a long line.
Got two AWESOME new skirts.
Ate tacos.
Watched TV with my mom.
...Was AWESOME.

Guys, I just got the coolest banner ever from [livejournal.com profile] 04_seasons! Look! )

There are many New Year's traditions. Some people brink champagne or kiss at midnight or what have you. Well, as a proud member of the internets subculture, I would like to partake in my New Year's traditions. After all, what would the end of December be without a whole bunch of memes? )

Toku thoughts )

Can't the Pirates and the Ninja all just GET ALONG!?: The Musical.

That Lex Luthor. He's terrible. (Courtesy: the Cracktionary.)

Look, any fic named "Smooth" is OBLIGATED to be awesome. [DC fic by [livejournal.com profile] miarrow]

And I am exausted now. Good night.
